The Thomson BV Analyser is a software-based system designed for the assessment of ocular motility and binocular vision. Developed for orthoptists, ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other eye care professionals, it combines several binocular vision and eye movement tests within a single platform.
The system includes an advanced Hess Screen test for assessing the size and direction of ocular deviations across 9 or 25 directions of gaze, with an option to measure torsion. It also provides Field of Binocular Single Vision and Uniocular Field of Fixation tests, with results automatically recorded and displayed for analysis.
An integrated Orthoptic Report generator allows clinicians to record examination findings, including visual acuity, cover test, ocular motility, binocular vision results, diagnosis, and management. Reports can be printed or saved as PDF files for attachment to electronic medical records.
The BV analyser is available as software for a Windows PC or as a complete solution with a bespoke instrument table, large display, touchscreen PC, and headrest.
