The Dia Optical PM-8 Pattern Maker is an advanced stand-alone digital pattern generation system designed for accurate tracing and production of lens patterns in optical laboratory environments. It scans frames, lenses, and existing patterns to generate highly precise lens shapes for edging and finishing applications.
The system can automatically produce both boxed and decentered patterns. A boxed pattern aligns the mechanical center with the geometric center of the lens shape, while decentered patterns can be generated based on patient PD and fitting height data, enabling accurate optical centering during lens blocking and edging.
The PM-8 is capable of tracing lens shapes as small as 18 mm in height, making it suitable for modern compact frame designs. Its low tracing pressure minimizes deformation, ensuring accurate reproduction even with delicate frame materials.
